I am creating Word Owl.

I have owned the domain since 2006, but finally I’ve found a use for it that I’m happy with.

The mission: search comic strips.

As I remember, I’ll post notes in here regarding how it’s going, and thoughts about it.

There may be a few private entries too, to remind me of a few internal things, but most posts will probably be public. I should add that I may occasionally seem a little blase towards some comics; but this isn’t meant to play down anything, it’s just I have a slightly different perspective to other people about them. As I see every single comic, I have no doubt I’ll end up seeing them almost as numbers, and if I come across a sudden - and unexpected - feature requirement I might grumble to myself about supporting it. My ire will be mostly at myself for not having thought of it before, rather than at the comic for being interesting and different to the norm.

I won’t be posting code or data fragments much; when I do post publicly available information such as archive size, this is stuff that anyone would be able to arrive at, it’s not something I’ve pulled from behind-the-scenes.
