To Do List

There is always a list of things to do on the site, always.

This is the current situation. Once upon a time this was a single list, however the reality is that I have a series of goals for the rest of 2008, as well as larger goals.

  1. [COMIC] Finish adding the back-archives: this means Melonpool, Angst Technology.
  2. [SEARCH] Finish developing the upgraded search interface. The search abstraction layer makes this reasonably easy to continue developing.
  3. [SEARCH] Implement XML-RPC interface. This requires:
  • Complete building the XML-RPC server interface; general data gathering methods built, only the search interfaces are really outstanding, and these are largely very quick to build; most of the data gathering methods are 10-12 line methods that interface with the abstracted objects I now have, mostly WordOwlData, but the remainder will mostly relate to WordOwlSearch.

Longer term goals:

  1. [PRETTY] Adding the majority of character colour indices: C+H (over half done), Bruno (barely started)
  2. [COMIC] Review the entire back-archive to ensure:
    1. All strips are accurate for content, including accented characters.
    2. All strips are appropriately tagged; most important for Cyanide & Happiness whose tags are currently known to be incomplete.
    3. All strips contain appropriate mark-up for bold and italics.
    4. All strips contain the character data where they do not speak.
    5. Presently, all comics require an end-to-end review.
